Directory Methodology
Our publication checks are designed to keep thin, irrelevant, and heavily duplicated imported records out of browse pages and Google-facing sitemaps.
What qualifies for browse pages
A provider record must pass every one of these checks:
- Clear relevance: the provider name or its public website summary contains evidence of testosterone, TRT, hormone therapy, hormone replacement, hormone optimization, low-T, andropause, or men's health services.
- Complete public contact details: an official website, phone number, street address, city, and state are present.
- Substantive source text: the summary taken from the provider's public website contains enough detail to be useful.
- Limited duplication: the same normalized website summary is not reused across more than three imported location records.
Records that fail any check can remain available at an existing direct URL so owners and readers can request corrections, but they receive a noindex directive, are excluded from internal search and browse pages, and are omitted from XML sitemaps.
State and provider-type pages
State pages use only qualifying records. A state page needs at least five qualifying records before it is included in the sitemap. Provider-type pages are limited to focused medical categories and also contain only qualifying records. We do not generate city pages unless the data is detailed enough to support a genuinely useful comparison.
How listings are ordered
Imported star ratings do not determine browse-page or search-result order. Records are ordered by publication-check completeness and name. Text searches preserve relevance order. If paid placement is offered, it is separated and labeled Sponsored; payment does not create an editorial endorsement.
Ratings and reviews
TestosteroneTherapy.org does not currently collect patient reviews. A rating shown on a listing is third-party information attributed to Google and linked to its source. We do not place imported ratings in AggregateRating structured data.
What our checks do not mean
Passing these checks is not medical vetting. We do not claim that every listing's clinicians, licenses, prices, insurance participation, lab protocols, treatment claims, safety practices, or availability have been independently verified. Readers should confirm those details with the provider and the appropriate state licensing board.
Updates and corrections
Each listing shows the date its source record was last updated. Clinics and readers can submit documentation through our contact page. Material errors are handled under our corrections policy.
